Mod - Ren'Py - Leap Of Faith [Ch. 8] Multi-Mod [Sancho1969] (2025)

The game doesn't crash but the main menu clearly says "SanchoMod not installed correctly". I have the music restoration mod installed and that seems to be the problem, tomorrow I will try with the vanilla version of GOG + dlc without the music mod.

Edit: there was no case, I'll have to sacrifice SanchoMod in this game . I don't know what the new music will be like, but the original is very good (I have the 900 MB folder), so the mod to restore the original audio seems indispensable and more important to me .

Hey man, what is the best option to play this with ? I had to reinstall the game but would this work with your mod https://f95zone.to/threads/leap-of-faith-ch-8-driftygames.48734/post-8942829 ? I also want the original music back.

No, no, no. That other "mod" is a rip off of mine. I have the music restoration already (see instructions in this OP).

so is your mod show in options to select old soundtrack and new soundtrack and switch between them like the music restoration mod has?

Well, no. It's for the Player to decide which they want but is certainly reversible manually with little effort. See here for the basic instructions (as mentioned in this OP). If you don't have Ch7's original game files then you can retrieve the chapter of the VN from any of the links I provided here.

There's folks on here that use it in the gog version (I don't have it to test) but I'm thinking it might sacrifice the "dlc" since I would think that dev commentary is in the dialogue scripts which will be superseded by the mod's custom scripts. Try a test installation and see, it's not like it'll crash your PC, it'll either work or it won't.

SanchoMod isn't set up to work with the DLC, which has its own walkthrough.

Sadly true. I'd much rather have Sanchos mod for it myself. Walkthrough or not It has way more convenience features.
Sancho have you any thoughts on adding your core to the 1.0.3 DLC version?

Depends on where you are. There are a lot of steps to get to the Holly path. I'm pretty sure it won't show as true until you get the final impact question in the hospital (Think about Lexi/Think about Holly). If you don't get that question, you missed one of a dozen possible things throughout the game. (after having chosen Lexi's path and meeting her of course)

Okay I'm new to this game, do i still need to follow all the stepps for game mod installation ? [Downloading a Ch7 copy of the game and get the audio files to copy into the new game]

Thank you for a nice mod! I'm playing Leap of Faith for the first time, and the original music is a really great experience. I don't know any other games where the music tops this.

I have a strange issue where everything works ok with a clean install, but when I restart the game at a later time the music is gone. A clean install will fix it, but it's a bit inconvenient...
I did a clean install yesterday because the music didn't play, and after that it was ok.

Same problem today, so I uninstalled the app, did a clean reinstall and everything is ok. I also tried to quit and restart today and the music played. But after a restart of the computer the music didn't play.

Installed:
- LeapofFaith-1.0.3c-dlc-mac.zip
- LeapofFaith-1.0.1se - SanchoMod.zip
- audio 1 - 7.7z
On Mac OS 14.5
(With the original uncompressed files the app is 8,87 GB!)

Do you have any suggestions on how to debug this. I didn't have any problems installing, but have no experience debugging a Renpy game. I tried to look in the system console for logs from the leapoffaith process, but don't really know what to look for.

I find more than 100 audio-related Errors of these two types alternating, when searching in console for process leapoffaith, and after that a few others:

I found some info indicating that CoreAudio error -89 typically indicates an invalid parameter or invalid buffer size.
Advice to troubleshoot this issue was to ensure that:

• "Your buffer sizes are correctly set for input and output audio streams."
• "You’re providing valid parameters for audio formats, sample rates, and channels."
